The sightseeing tour of Kaliningrad will continue with a visit to Fort No. 5 - the most famous Fort of Konigsberg, named "King Friedrich Wilhelm III".

Mini-reconstruction

During the tour, in one of the courtyards of the Fort, you will find a mini-reconstruction.
Participants of the military history club will demonstrate the real uniforms of the German troops of the Second world war, as well as military equipment of that time.

Then you will have to relocate to the Museum " Friedland gate" (XIX century) to take a virtual walk through the streets of Konigsberg.
This is one of the 7 gates that have survived to this day.

Friedland Gate

The Friedland Gate Museum is located in a 19th-century architectural monument.

Under the high brick vaults - a real cobblestone pavement, which is already a century and a half.

The exposition of the Friedland Gate Museum is based on the theme of Garden City.

The Gates of Time

A virtual walk through the streets of old Koenigsberg, incredible in terms of emotional impact, begins in the main hall.

The real cobblestone road preserved inside the Friedland Gate is “connected” with the virtual one projected onto the blocked gate openings.

The transmitted paintings seem to “remove” the walls, pushing the boundaries of the real and opening the “temporary portal” to the past.

Historical dinner

After a day full of adventures, of course, you need to strengthen your strength!

Lunch or dinner is waiting for you in one of the city's historic restaurants:
in the fish restaurant "Sunny stone", located in the Rosgarten gate (XIX century) or in the beer restaurant "Reduit" - in the former German fortification building.

Bavarian cuisine

Perhaps your choice will fall on the restaurant of Bavarian cuisine "Zoetler".

The restaurant's menu includes East Prussian beer recipes from 1447.

Be sure to visit Fort 11 "Denhoff" - the best preserved Fort in Kaliningrad (paid extra).
